Latvenergo Group is the largest power supply company in the Baltic States, and its structure is composed of companies led by Latvenergo AS, which holds the decisive influence.
Latvenergo Group comprises the parent company Latvenergo AS, which is engaged in generation of electricity and thermal energy and provision of telecommunication and information technology services, and subsidiaries of which Latvijas elektriskie tīkli AS ensures transmission system asset management, Sadales tīkls AS ensures electricity distribution to each customer, whereas Elektrum Eesti OÜ and Elektrum Lietuva UAB conduct electricity trade in Estonia and Lithuania respectively. Preparing for the operation in Latvia after the complete liberalization of the electricity market, Elektrum Latvija SIA has been founded to conduct electricity trade in Latvia. Enerģijas publiskais tirgotājs AS performs the functions of public trader in the mandatory procurement process. Liepājas enerģija SIA (51 % of shares) generates and supplies thermal energy in the city of Liepaja.
Latvenergo AS also has shareholding in Pirmais Slēgtais Pensiju Fonds AS (46,3%), which is engaged in managing pension plans – along with shareholding (0.005%) in Rīgas siltums AS.
